• LPG Gas Hobs

  • LPG Gas Hob Recently Converted From Natural Gas.

Cooking with gas will give you an advantage over electric cooking.

So how do you cook with gas if you don’t have mains gas connected to your property?

Simple, contact a local Gas Safe Registered LPG engineer.

Make arrangements for him to visit your property.

Explain that you want an LPG gas hob installed, but at the moment you have no gas at all connected.

When the engineer arrives, he will be able to advise you on what is needed.

First, you will need a gas supply, this is normally in the form of 2 portable gas bottles. These will be installed on the outside wall of your property.

From the gas bottles, a supply pipe is installed from the bottles over to the new hob location.

Next, you need a new LPG gas hob.

Most gas hobs purchased in the United Kingdom will only work on natural gas. But they can be converted to work on LPG very easily.

Make sure when purchasing the hob that it is supplied with the conversion kit, most are, but make sure.

The reason most professional kitchens use gas hobs is that they can easily control the heat when cooking.

With a simple turn of the dial, the flame gets bigger or smaller so that the change in heat is immediate and precise.

There’s no long wait for the pan to heat up or for it to cool down like electric.

Saving time and ensuring dishes aren’t spoilt by slow response time.

Temperatures are closer to the recommended heat in cooking books, helping you to achieve dependable results every time you cook.

There’s a reason for the saying, “we’re cooking with gas!”
